Ryan’s NFL Picks (2020): Divisional Round Picks

Last weekend certainly put the wild in wildcard. Let’s see if I can pick the divisional round a little more cleanly.

Overall Record: 172-89
Record: 3-3

Ryan’s NFL Picks (2020): Divisional Round Picks

Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay Packers: Green Bay Packers

The Los Angeles Rams stunned the NFL world last Sunday when they were able to upset the Seattle Seahawks, at home, in the wildcard round with a banged up Jared Goff and missing Aaron Donald. Do I think they can travel up to Green Bay and beat the number one seed Packers?

No. No I do not. Packers roll into the NFC Championship.

Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills: Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen is wheeling and dealing right now, and I think there’s only one team in the AFC that can stop the Buffalo Bills… regrettably, that team isn’t Baltimore. Lamar Jackson had another one of those games where he was a great runner, but a putrid passer. They were able to stop Ryan Tannehill because Derrick Henry was stuffed… let’s see if that defense can bring the heat on Saturday Night.

Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs: Kansas City Chiefs

I will buy a Baker Mayfield jersey if the Cleveland Browns win this game. If they win this game, they’re Super Bowl bound, neither Buffalo or Baltimore will be able to stop what is clearly a team of destiny. I will dance naked in the street if the Cleveland Browns march into Arrowhead and beat Kansas City.

Sadly, it’s not happening. They were able to upset Pittsburgh because the Steelers had a historically inept first quarter, and even with Ben Roethlisberger clearly being washed up, they still almost blew it. A rusty Patrick Mahomes is better than Big Ben was in his prime.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is a risky pick because the Saints swept Tampa Bay in the regular season, and they did it pretty convincingly. The Saints aren’t 100%. Something about them just doesn’t feel right. That, and the Buccaneers ended the season on a hot streak. Tom Brady seemed to warm up as the weather got colder, and now he’s got a cozy dome game against a familiar opponent. We’ll see.
